Jeff Bezos the founder of the famous www.amazon.com is going to be the first trillion air in the world. Are you surprised? I am not. Like Walmart, Amazon.com has wiped out many smaller businesses as the price, speed, and variety of options that amazon provides prices and added convenience that are simply unbeatable.
The first to come up with the original idea of “Amazon Prime”, where you pay $99.00 a year for the subscription. There was two-day shipping but amazon was not all that fancy a few years back. I could have calculated that it would be the most successful business in America- possibly the world since Alexa’s and Echo devices are dirt cheap. Even google mini couldn’t compare.
Amazon is both good and bad. It’s good because we can get everything we want with the touch of a button, delivered to our doors, the same or the next day. It’s bad because we can get everything we want with the touch of a button, delivered to our doors. I can’t be the only one who has woken up and had 12 random packages at my door. In fact, there is one right now that just arrived (Alexa told me) It’s a Stoner Coloring Book. Let us be real, do I need that?
I think it would be a considerable act of humanity if Jeff Bazos, who has no way of spending the amount of money he has in one lifetime! He should donate to a charity. OR he can donate to me. What’s he gonna do with all those bitcoins or ethereums? The future of money is here.
I do, try to shop small business as much as I can but unfortunately, the prices are just significantly better on amazon.com and it’s quick. With the industrial revolution nearing I doubt many small companies will survive. Welcome to living in a completely digital world.
I don’t know what the future brings but if Amazon.com ever goes out of business, that’s when I will protest.
If you haven’t already heard the song “Rich White Girls” by Mansionz then you should. Especially if you’re riding off that stimulus money, amazon priming everything, and living like you’re a queen. (or king)
I hope Amazon has, at the very least, good intentions are. It’s not good to have one corporation wipe out all the competition. That will lead to an inflation of prices since there won’t be a monopoly or price matching. Think of COMED electricity- so expensive! They can be, they hardly have competition.
